Phill and I had planned a weekend getaway to stay at the Hyatt Hotel in Denver since the two of us have been so busy! Upon our arrival to the hotel, we walked in to a beautiful two-room suite that I thought we just got a great deal on. Little did I know, Phill upgraded our room! After settling in for a bit, Phill presented me with a Thank You card, which he often does. The card thanked me for planning a wonderful weekend and for being such a wonder friend. On the back of the card, he wrote "Now it's my turn to make it special." He got down on his knee and asked me to be his wife. After drying up my tears, I responded with "Yea!" because it was all I could get out! I was completely surprised and overwhelmed that our moment was finally here.
We already had plans to go to the Mammoth Lacrosse game but I had to call all of my family and friends! After multiple calls, I FINALLY got a hold of my mom, dad and sister and gave up on the rest to rush out to a cab to get to the game. I was surprised again after a Mercedes limo ride was downstairs to meet us to go to the game, where we were greeted by 26 of our closed friends and family who all knew and were there to join us at the game!
We’re full steam ahead in wedding planning and our scheduled date is Saturday, July 26, 2008. Yep! Less than 3 months away! We’ve already got the location, dress is ordered, guys are working on suits, girls have their dresses and it should be an awesome celebration!
