Music Review: Taylor Swift - Fearless

My other album of the week that I have purchased along with many others was Taylor Swift's "Fearless".  This is Taylor's sophmore follow-up effort behind her self titled debut, and she certainly doesn't disappoint.  I could never imagine being in this very young girls shoes, having two huge hit records and the tender age of 18!  I thought I was accomplished by ditching high school for college classes!  She's even been dumped by a Jonas Brother!  That's quite the resume!

Her newly released record, Fearless is number 1 in the nation as I post this.  Taylor also brought her heart and soul to her performance at this years 2008 American Music Awards (AMA's) this past weekend with her second single to be released, White Horse.  I look forward to seeing what she has to bring in the future.

Music Review: P!nk - Funhouse

I just this morning had Phill buy the new P!nk album "Funhouse" for from iTunes.  I had listened to the full album once before and really liked it but just going around to buying it after watching her perform this song on the AMA (American Music Awards) this past weekend. 

I know...that's what they want you to do.  But I've always been a big fan of P!nk.  I even got the chance to see her in concert when I lived in San Diego and I will never forget that she was one performer that you can honestly say is outstanding without a studio. There was no lip-syncing and she almost sounds better in person!

Most of her latest album is written from a painful spot of her life after her divorce from Carey Hart, so I can't relate to any of the songs personally, but they're all very well written and performed.  Below is the video for her new single, Sober.  The album as a whole gets a thumbs up from me!

New Web-Site!!

A lot of you have asked me how my friend Kimberly is doing out in San Diego.  While I was making updates on my Facebook page and forwarding Julie and Skips daily emails, it donned on me that I have a TypePad account and I can host multiple web-sites!  Heck, I've already got www.YeahToastTrails.com and I knew I had room for at least one more site.

So, I'm very proud to announce the NEW web-site that I've set up for Kim's family and friends to update everyone on her day to day status, as well as share pictures and stories.  I'm floored at how popular it's already become in just a day!  And the best part is that it also serves as a daily diary for Kim to look at when she wakes up.  Her sister Lauris has already figured out how to print the daily comments and is reading them to her.

New Music

I haven't posted my new favorite song here lately, so today I'm posting my current favorite, "Beautiful Life" by Fisher.  The TLC network is currently using this song for a commercial for their family themed shows.  It's fun, catchy and reborn from it's original 2005 release date.

Ya, so um...a movie I am GONNA go see.

No offense allowed.  This is just going to be a really REALLY good movie that I want to see.
