I am glad that you made the right decision for yourself however I do have to say that I was hurt by the "I need more going on in my life" comment about stay at home moms. I feel like I have too much going on in my life most the time.

Happy that Amy and your mom are able to help out with babysitting to make it a smooth transittion for you getting back to work.

Hope you have a productive last weekend of maternity leave.

I LOVE the new pics at the top ;-)

How did the first week go? Good I hope.
Being a stay-at-home mom is not for everyone - and what you wrote was just fine. I stay-at-home and have those days where I just wish I could go to work - because I am bored. The first year of being at Stay-at-home mom was the hardest for me - but you fall into a routine just like being at work and you find things to do to fill your time. Lucky for me and our budget - we lived an hour from Target or any other place worth shopping at - so we spent a lot of time and I mean about 5 days a week at the pool just so I could get out and be around other adults.
It is good that you realize now that you are a better mom to your kids when you have the chance to go to work. That way you don't resent them down the road - not that you ever would but why take the chance. :)

Enjoy your first Christmas together as a family.
